We have a thin, bright white covering of snow. Temps are near zero, and brisk winds. I have my taxes to do, (fairly complicated here on the farm) but on my way past the 'My Pictures' file I saw this. A picture taken last spring just east of our house. There are two geese playing in the pond, we've been mushroom hunting, and are going back home. That is, after we sit a spell. Pull up a log and give me a visit. I'll likely be here a while if anyone is looking for me.

The guy setting next to you offering you a Bud is me. Nice photo
Ralph
That's a nice place to sit and do some thinking and have some lazy conversation.
Bundle up for the weekend. It looks like it will be a cold one.
Pretty picture. Mushrooms....yummy, hope you found some!
Sounds dreadfully cold. A good time to stay inside and work on taxes! Keep warm Cliff.
Looks like a great spot to be... when things warm up a bit!
Cliff,
I just looked on the weather map. You got it worse than we do. I was complaining about a measley 18 degrees for a high tomorrow. I'll try not to get a sunburn.
Spring is just around the corner!
WOW what a nice to place to sit and just ,,,,sit!
That is a nice place to sit and meditate. It looks tempting for 4-wheeling in the mud. That would be the end of the peace.
good luck with the taxes, my husband finished ours and we are awaiting the refund check! I love this picture, I just want to sit on a log and stare at the pond all day! Stay warm, we are going down in temperature too here on Long I sland, but no where as cold as you! Think Spring!
I know from watching my daddy that those farming tax returns are a booger. It's cold and snowing here in TN too...go figure. I'm about ready for spring now that the bugs are froze. Tell Ralph to make mine a Bud light.
Hmmm. NIce photo. Some more trees fell in our backyard, so we have more logs to sit on. Our weather has been crazy. We had a blizzard. Soon afterwards the temps hit 70's. Yesterday the robins were out basking in 60 degree temps, but a front came through with high winds.. and temps plummeted to the 20's.---- Taxes shouldn't be "taxing." Ours are comlicated, too...
WOW! What a great place. Thanx for sharing it .... I WILL pull up a log for a while. I left you a note on my blog. It's above 24 here now. But, that pales in comparison to your 8 and -2 below. I remember those days well from living in Chicago and later Wisconsin. Especially, being on-call; crunching through the snow half awake at 2AM. The truck would begin to warm up about the time I got to the hospital.
Stay warm, Partner. I hope you're taxes go well. And may the IRS smile on them. ;)
I assume you got hit with the cold front this weekend.
Watch out on those icy roads!
Love the photo cliff..so how cold did it get?
friday it was -40 here...can u top that?
;)
