One of these pics of the gauge cluster on my Allis D-14 is before the boys painted it, and the other one is after they painted it. Can you tell which is the before pic?
I'm going to have a tiny decal made that says "Spooky Old Allis" and place it on the front end of the hood. If you can tell me where that comes from without looking it up, then you are officially old.

Sweet George Gobel, but I'm not old I looked it up. I think I'm going to walk this out to Dirt and see if he can tell the difference between the two. I miss my Orange Tractor and I hope he'll be back soon. You know, you actually have more horses than we have cats at the moment.
Ha, George Gobel! I had to smile just remembering the routine. ;0)
Cliff .... that Allis is too cool. I wish I had my restored '40 Ford coupe back. But, that Allis, wow. And "Spooky Old Allis" is the crown.
I don't know where that saying came from so I am not official old. I do know those boys sure do some great work.
Ralph
Oh dear, I am way out of my league. I don't know anything but I sure like the bright red paint.
I have no clue and I never heard of George Gobel, so I must be still young!!
Can't wait to see the finished tractor. It'll be awesome!
Hey Cliff, those guys are doing you a good job. I think they lost the hole filler plug on the left side so they moved the toggle switch from the right over to the hole now on the left.
And they got you a new Traction Booster Gauge and hour recorder! Good for them!
I like the color too,
..
Better check those boys out Cliff, they appear to have lost a few bits and pieces.
Who is George Gobel? gee I must be young (or senile).
Jim, Cliff or Grandpa probably broke the headlights off on some tree limbs, so Cliff pushed the old headlight switch into the dash and put a toggle in for his sprayer. The finished product will have a new headlight switch and lights, so the toggle goes to the left. Alright!!..and we lost the plug!!
Beautiful, beautiful! Thanks for letting me know I am not in with that "old" category, lol.
read the blog, and flashed on the "Spooky old Alice" bit, but I AM old, and figured in was something Jackie Gleason might have said on the "Honeymooners", but then read some of the earlier comments and saw the correct answer was that new kid Geoge Gobel's routine----. Rhw boya did a great job on painting.
Cliff,
That old Allis is gonna look nice after you get her painted up. How you gonna keep Ralph off of it (don't forget about the barbed wire incident)?
Whew! Thank the good Lord. I must not be old yet, because I have no idea what that phrase means.
