I Wish I'd Said That

I find my self laughing at things people have said. It's the best kind of humor. If the right person says something out of character, or ironic, I get tickled. Years ago, a local man had two daughters who were in a trackmeet. They went out for track to get in shape for the softball season. They were stars at softball, but not fleet of foot. He was asked, "how'd the girls do in the trackmeet". He replied, "those girls run slower than pond water".
It describes me. I may change the name of my blog to Running Slower Than Pond Water.

That would be a good name for a blog...
But if you are serious about renaming your blog, you should have a contest where readers can suggest blog names for you... you might get some pretty good suggestions!

That's a pretty good story. Now if you change the name of your blog I would drop the running part - just call it slower than pond water. But there are other good titles as well. Rhodent suggested Cliff Notes - that's good. Then there is Down the Lane, Tekemah Tabloid, Chatting with Cliff, The Nebraska Notebook. I have others if you are interested. But the one I like best is Cliff Morrow's Blog.

Peter: I haven't declared a winner. I haven't even declared a contest. But I like yours. I did have "Cliffs Notes" at the top for a while but I got so many hits from I'm sure disgruntled folks that I decided to change it back to the catchy 'Cliff Morrow's Blog'.

I think I'll side with Ralph on voting for Marty's entry....I'm just wondering what kind of pictured he stared at, and for how long, to come up with that one!! Good one bro'! --Karen

Karen, the trouble with this concentration thing, is that I fall asleep after about 2 minutes of concentration.
Keep er movin,,, or I'm going to bed.
At the risk of sounding like a not very intelligent Nebraska farmer, what the heck is Dalai Marty talking about?

Mike ( ex scientia, veritas ) said...

Maybe just "still waters"? ;)

I'm not entirely sure, Uncle Cliff. Marty can sometimes surprise us all! Don't be surprised if Marty's next blog is "Memoirs from the Mug"....stay tuned!! --Karen

Cliff,
I've never seen you run, so I couldn't say if you could outrun pond water. But I bet you were moving pretty good the day the bean field caught fire. I like Cliff Morrow's Blog the best. It's like you...plain and simple. Um, not saying that you are simple, or even that plain. I'll just shut up now.
