It's About Time

This post is primarily for the locals. Those of you who live near where I live, and tell me things out of the blue like, "Oh, I read your thing on the internet everyday?" Then I say, "You're kidding right?" "Nope, I check it every day, and by the way who is this Ralph guy and is he crazy or what? (I just kind of made that up)
Anyhow, yes you people.
Well we're having Blogstock and a lot of these internet folks will be around the Tekamah area on July 3 to the 6th. We will be at several locations doing different things and you'll be welcome to come 'look' at our company. And hopefully you'll even visit and break bread with us. You know, join the group for fellowship and good times. We'll be at local establishments some and on the evening of the 4th as well as on Saturday the 5th we'll be cooking here on the farm.
So just let me know if you're coming because we'd like to inform the eating establishments, how many of us to expect and when we cook here on the farm we need to know how many chickens to sacrifice in your honor. The biggest day will be Saturday the 5th. Let me know, I'm in the book. Or call Marilyn or Juli at the kennel . Or email me. Say you'd like to come and we'll get you the details of where you can catch up with us. My address is in my profile on my side bar. If you have been conversing with Ralph, this doesn't apply to you because Ralph is keeping track of the bloggers who are coming. Right Ralph?

I sure am going to miss being part of the group.....If TF and I didn't already have two trips planned for this summer and gas prices were half decent, I would be there in a flash......

Cliff,
it isn't looking too great from Long Island. I really don't think that I will be comming. I want to, but Danny has that big tournament in Cooperstown, at the end of AUg, and well, that expense, and add gas to that one too, will be enough for our budget to bear, just bearly. I really want to come, I have never been "out your way." Keep me there in spirit, maybe next year...

The title of this post is right!! It's about time. I thought you had been washed away or blew away with all the storms. Thankfully that is not the case!! I'm sorry to see that Lucy and Miki aren't coming.

As you know, I plan to make it, Lord willing and the creek doesn't rise!

I will bring $$ to help pay my part of the groceries when we feast at your farm!

Ohhhh....I'm so excited to get to meet everyone!! We'll just have so much fun!! I just can feel it in my bones!!!

With all of the rain we've been getting, I guarantee the creek will rise. Like a flower, it has already rose.
Or is that like bread it has already riz.
Yes, a good time will be had by all.

Dear Cliff, I have been reading your posts for about a year now and love the idea of blog stock. I seldom have time to comment, but I do try to keep up with a few of the bloggers, especially Ralph and Rachel. As one or two others have said, with the cost of ga$... But it does sound like a fun time. I will be thinking of youall!

Haha, chickens to sacrifice! Wish we could come. The hubs is slap in the middle of busy season, making hay, harvesting grain, square baling straw and still has late beans to plant. Hoping he is done in four weeks when we hit the beach, lol.

Just saw the temp there...71? It is 100 plus here, sheesh we are miserable.

Cliff, you had better make this GOOD! We will be giving up the Willie Nelson picnic for Blocstock '08, the first one.

Wille's 4th of July Picnic is in Houston this year, two premium tickets are about the price of one tank of gas.

What would you do? We are 84% sure at the moment. That percentage goes down with every tornado I here about up there!

Enough about gas prices! It's just money, you can't take it with you when you leave this life, what better way to spend it than to go see Cliff?

Cliff said...

I don't know Jim. Willie is better looking than me.
But he's not better looking that Ralph.

Well! Well! Well! It's amazing who you run into!

Great to "see" you, Cliff. Sorry I've been slack in posting so far this year.

I'm here to tell you the rumour that I've been in prison isn't true!!!!!! ;)

I read this even though I am not a local. I am nosey and a busybody, so that is why I read it.
Keith, Courtney, and I will be there with bells on!!
Taylor has other plans, but I am still putting a guilt trip on him in order to encourage him to change his plans and come along. My parents and brother will not be coming. :-( I wish they could have worked it out because they are lots of fun.
I'm looking forward to a good old time with everyone.
I know there will be a lot of laughter which will be one of the highlights for me. Well, that and the food which is always a highlight for me.

Jim: When you said that you were thinking of going to see Willie Nelson I pictured you and Mrs. Jim on the bus with Willie and the boys....have you heard the hilarious Todd Snider songs?

JD: Tell Taylor the trip will give him lots of songwriting material.

Cliff: I'd offer to bring sandbags, but we're using them here in Indiana.
