It Rained!

We have been very dry in this area. Most everyone here had enough moisture to bring the crops up out of the ground but we've received very little rain since we finished planting. The corn is a little over knee high now. We had 1.40" of rain last night. We were indeed blessed.
If you have enough rain to get the crop started, I've never thought that a dry spell to start the growing season was a bad thing. It seems to develope the root systems.

I've been trying to get a picture from the pontoon boat we purchased back in January. We've had it out three times and had the camera along all three times. First trip we were on the way back down the river and Marilyn asked me to look at that great last picture. I said, "Uh Marilyn, when it says 'No Flash Card' it means you don't have any pictures. On the second trip the cameras' battery was too low to work. And so these two pics were from the third trip. Marilyn snapped a photo of another storm slipping on past Burt County. And then my daughter captured two old folks sitting in a boat. Those must be our 'White Going Steady' shirts. We've been dating a looooong time.

We're off to watch a Grandsons baseball game this afternoon and help at the local rodeo again tonight. Life is good.

Cliff, you're ALWAYS funny. Thanx for the laughs. I have great memories of slow cruises down the Fox River on my dad's houseboat.

Love the pics! We were in a drought for the last two years. We have had a lot of rain so far this year. I almost forgot what green grass looks like!

Ahhh...you two look so cute! Living where you live a pontoon would be perfect for cruising up and down the river. I'm glad the camera was good to go this time around!!

Cliff you are too funny! Glad the corn is growing well. We are in the middle of spraying corn, planting beans, baling hay and harvesting wheat. Busy, busy, busy.

We too have a pontoon boat but it has only seen the lake twice since we bought it. Hopefully we will remedy that soon.

Now about the shirts. I made Ron promise before we married that we would NEVER wear matching shirts. Every once in a while we come close like you and Marilyn in the photo and he will ask, "Do these match?" Guess I must have scared him.

Hey Cliff, that IS a good looking boat. That's the kind Mrs. Jim always wanted us to have but now we are too old.
Sorry about your torture post, it was a good post. I sure did miss the point the first time I read it. I think I even missed a line or two.
..
Oh yes, a nice looking couple too.

Cliff, love the going steady shirts! You guys have great taste! I agree you have been going together for a long time. The pictures, not matter what trip they were from, are gorgeous. HOpe you get a little more rain, we have had our share and then some. Monday we got more than an inch in less than an hour. I am feeling as if I am living in the Pacific Northwest, here on Long Island. This is the wettest spring that I can recall in a very long time! You are right, though, Life is good! HOpe you had fun at the baseball game and the Rodeo!

Glad you got that whole flash card thing figured out. Nice, nice boat.
On another note, thanks again for everything. You two have helped us out more than once and more than you will ever know.

Two terrific photos, and I especially like that second one. Those are two beautiful people right there on that pontoon wearing those bright, white shirts.
I hope you enjoy some marvelous, relaxing, and fun times on your pontoon.
