Etc

We went to a reception in Lincoln on Sunday. It was within walking distance of two of our Granddaughters. We had taken our Grandson with us. This is as organized as it got.

This is our other Granddaughter. She's "gonna be six." She is engaging. She will walk into a room full of strangers searching faces. If you will smile at her she will come talk to you. A real people person.
She can barely stand to sit down before church because there is always one more of us elderly types she needs to visit with.
She is a really good singer and can hit any note Mariah Carey can hit.
You can make her smile and laugh, while she is crying.
She is sneaky to a fault. She will always figure out how to get her way. (I suppose the above line could have been said by saying she is a female.) I've always said she could be dropped off in a jungle by herself and you could come back 10 years later and she would still be okay but the animals would all be under her command.
She taught herself to ride a bike about six months ago.
And the reason for this post...yesterday was the day her first baby tooth came out. She said "Look Grandma, I have a loose tooth." Grandma said it looks pretty loose you should just pull it out. Now in all of my 57 years, I have seen a lot of loose baby teeth and not one child including me, would reach in and pull one out. Until now. Without hesitation, she reached in and popped it out. "See" she said as she proudly smiled and displayed it for Grandma.

Wow, now that's one brave kiddo. I always tied a string around my tooth and shut a door...sometimes it worked...lol

Granddaughter is very charming.
I hope the tooth fairy left extra money for that tooth!

Cliff
That is pretty amazing. I don't think I've ever known a kid that pulled their own tooth.
On another note, I fear this line could get you in some trouble, "She will always figure out how to get her way. (I suppose the above line could have been said by saying she is a female.)"
Great picture of you and the grandkids.

Lovely children, Cliff. Your little six-year old has a feisty look on her face. That's a particularly lovely photo. By the sounds of it, she will do well and go far in life. Kids can give you so much pleasure...they are wonderful. :)

By the way, there is an incredible likeness in those two photos...have a look at yourself in the top pic and that of your little grand-daughter in the second pick...I think she's very much like you.

That grand daughter of yours must be a second or third child. She sounds just like my second son who did the same thing. With his baby tooth!

I have a soft spot for grandpas who love their grandchildren. Can we adopt you?

You may have a budding oral-maxillofacial surgeon on your hands, Cliff. BTW, I hate to mention this .... but, they ALL look a lot younger than you. I'm just sayin' .... ;)

Grandpa Cliff, you wouldn't be bragging on your grandkids again, would you.
For all my kids, I would pull out my 'crooked pliers.' They worried for a while about those bent needle noses.
Haven't brought them out for the grandkids, but they know [knew for the older ones] I have [had] it ready.

That is ONE BRAVE kid!!

I'm glad to hear she is carrying on the ways of the female. Getting OUR way is just the way the good Lord meant for it to be.

Merry always has to visit everybody before church starts, too.
She LOVES conversations that she stars in.
Too bad you live so far away, I think my kid and your granddaughter could be best buds.
