We had some excitement here on the Missouri River bottom last Thursday and Friday. Ralph and Char met some of their family here for a brief reunion. They were good sports about the fact that we were pretty busy. Marilyn had two full days of grooming and I had some meetings while they were here. Ralph spends his days at meetings that are very similar so he took it in stride. He even came to one of my open meetings as a spectator. He said "just for the entertainment."
It rained most of the day on Thursday which put quite a damper on planned activities. The girls of the group were great help for Marilyn at the kennel. There was also some horseback riding, and 4 wheeling.
I must say that the little girl in pink is as engaging a young lady as I've come across. She will look you right in the eye and do verbal battle with you if that's what you want. She asked me questions about farming that most adults wouldn't have the perceptive ability to ask. Very sharp and mature for only 14.
The whole group is engaging for that matter. They are a wonderful family and even though as witness the picture, I had to eventually ask them all to leave, I'll bet they will be back soon.
We hope it will be very soon.

Great pics!!! I'm sure you get asked some silly questions, as do we. The latest one happened at basketball practice a few weeks ago. "Why are the fields so green?" a dad asked me. "Because the wheat is coming out of dormancy", I replied. LOL
Hi Shannon, I've had some funny questions but not from this bunch. The girl in pink asked me a series of question about loading and unloading bins and the next day she saw a bin in the morning and said she could tell how much corn was in it by the vapor line on the outside in the morning air. Very perceptive.
Gee! I haven't been on a horse in years. And my 4 wheeling is being done with a rolling walker these days. Some people have all the fun!
Horseback riding and 4 wheeling!! I'm in!!
Glad you had a good visit Cliff!
Wow it is magic how we all are in that top photo ! Good job Cliff!
Good Times! Good Times!
Nice photos...
Looks like u guys had a good time..
So, you told them to haul their bohunkuses off your property, huh? I see you pointed the way to the road so they'd be sure and not get lost.
We knew a lady who used to start grabbing the coats of her guests when she was ready for them to leave.
Nothing like being handed your coat to let you know it's time to go.
Looks like you all had a nice time even if you were too busy to wait on them hand and foot.
I'm expecting you'll be waiting hand and foot on all of us at Blogstock. Be sure and cancel any meetings before we come to the farm.
That's a great picture and a great post reflecting on a great time. Thanks for putting up with all of us.
Ralph
Dontcha love it when you see that someone has actually LISTENED to you??? I mean, not that they don't as a rule...
My 4 wheeling started last week - only my 4 wheeler says John Deere. sigh. Guess it is that time of year again.
BUT my onions are up! Well, about a dozen of them, anyway. Hey! Its a start!
Other than a deep bowl of ice cream, there's not much better than good friends. You're blessed. Thanks for sharing.
Fun. I'll know to look for that signal at Blogstock and catch a hint.
Wasn't it nice that Ralph and his family could come and visit. Beverly had extra help with the dogs and you had plenty to keep you busy. I'll bet the horse back riding and 4-wheeling was fun. It is nice when you find a young person that is able to talk on an adult level. See ya later.
Great pics. Will we get to meet the Girl in teh Pink Coat at Blogstock?
Well no wonder I haven't seen you around... looks like you've been having some good times and good friends to boot! ~ jb///
Cliff,
I think you pointed the way home to Nora and me too. But like the common housefly, we will return.
So nice of you to host the reunion for the Ralphites.
Alright everyone, that is not Cliff doing the pointing, it's Ralph. And if you go to Ralph's blog you will see Cliff playing on the Merry Go Round......I clicked on the pictures to jumbo size them and noticed the real facts...lol
A friend of ours used to tell people that have stay to long "If I would go to bed, you could go home".
My 4 wheeler is a golf cart.

Last liar doesn't stand a chance here (most places, it is the first liar). I'll try anyway.
Cliff, it looks like you guys all had a good time.
Now, if you try to have all those meetings while we are there, we will take advantage of the OPEN MEETINGS LAW and just barge right in. Or put up a big protest.
Colorado and Oklahoma people have to be told to leave. They tend to want squatter's rights and will just stay forever! I think hillbillies are like that too but I haven't experienced any of those yet.

Hi Cliff -- I have interpreted your dream using The Watkins dictionary of Dreams the best I can.
You might be surprised at the conclusion! The interpretation immediately follows my blog entry that you read.
Thanks for doing that, since I am just learning I really do need to practice on some donated dreams.

Hey Cliff
I am around somewhere lol. Just hanging low for awhile but should get back to blogging sometime soon. Will let you know when. I think for now I am just going to read everyones blogs. Glad to see you are all so happy.
Hugs Catherine xx
Howdy.
Cliff ~ Between the house guests and the golf (I mean Blogstock Executive Committee duties)... looks like you've been REAL busy! ~ jb///
