My daughter and children, ages 6 and 10 are at Disney World. The trip was their Christmas present.
Uncle Tom, who is an old hand at the parks down there offered to meet them down there and help his sister with the kids to insure all had a maximum time.
I got a call yesterday from Tom. He had been standing in a short line with his ten year old nephew.
They were standing by a sign that warned everyone that 'This ride makes sudden sharp turns, abrupt changes in direction and has sudden drops.'
Quote: "Hey Look, Unca Tom, this ride will be like riding in a car with Mom."

Oh that is cute (hopefully not said in a disrespectful manner) it made me giggle and I needed giggles this morning.
Ha, ha, ha!
I'm sure they are having a great time. Disney is the ultimate paradise for kids and adults and whiners and tired, hungry toddlers and impatient adults...
Good memories.
Years ago, we were at Magic Mountain in CA. Taylor wanted to ride this ride that drops from a really high point, but he was just barely too short for the height limit. The next day, we had him wear his boots that had a heel and I spiked his hair. This put him over the height, and he got to ride. What a thrill that was!!!
Your grandkids are going to be chatterboxes when they return, and you'll hear about all the fun they had. Life has some grand moments, doesn't it?
:-)
That was good!
That was funny! I wonder if mom appreciated that comment!
Hey,
I've seen her back up a semi into a skinny lane and park it right under the auger. Mom's got some driving skills.
Funny Cliff!! I would ride with Julie anytime!! I'd just be prepared for anything!
I'm glad they are getting a vacation and I know they'll have fun fun fun!!! What a nice Christmas present in February!!
Ho-boy!
Funny how Disney World's magic lasts a lifetime. What a great gift.
I've never ridden with her but if she handles the cars like she does the horses, I'd ride with her anywhere.
I seem to remember a Cougar with lots of dents, I don't think those kids were born at that time. Perhaps they have been looking at pictures?
I like your Valentine.
..
BTW, did you continue south after your meeting? (Louisiana? If so, come on over Houston way. I can find you some golf clubs.)
..
I'm laughing out loud!
This reminds me of a comment Jack made when he was about 10 or so. We'd had a noisy blowout on a front tire going around the curve on the Herman Scribner Road the night before. When we got in the car the next day he said, "Mom, don't drive so crazy this time."
Out of the mouths of babes! I loved this story:)
I hope he wears his seat belt while riding with mom...lol. Our daughter and the grandkids were at Disney World the day after Chistmas and they had a wonderful time. Jamie's right, they will come back with lots of stories.
It sounds like the grandkids are developing your sense of humor. Watch out Burt County!
What a great time to go. And I'm sure that Julie is glad that Uncle Tom is there.
Sounds like the kid likes riding with Mom----and his remark was sort of a backhanded compliment.
