Our Barbeque Grills...
are in the sun on the west side of the house. It's 100 degrees. I'm going to throw a couple of burgers on the grill, go inside and wait to check them in about 20 minutes. If by chance they're not done, I'm going to light the grill.
We couldn't do that because a part of the burger might fall to the ground and start a grass fire immediately. We have even had bits of taunting rain that barely wet the ground. It is a dust bowl around here again.
If I had a quarter for each drop of sweat I have sweated this year, I think I'd be rich! It's been so hot and dry and now we finally have gotten some much needed rain. It has truly been extreme this year. I hope you have gotten rain by now as well.
I have thought about trying the egg on the sidewalk thing! It's been too hot to even fool with it though.
Sounds like a good way to save on fuel costs!! You're doing your bit for the universe, Cliff!
But on the flip-side...it could be to your own benefit...everyone else will take over the cooking on the barbecue from now on...you can just sit back; chill out and sip on a cold beer!

It's been hot here as well and is suppose to stay that way for awhile. Not good news.

It sounds like a good plan to me!!
You might be better off with an ice cold beer, Cliff?
I haven't even tried to drag my grill out this year. The sidewalk would do just as well. Bleck.
