The Morrow Bloggers!

On the Friday after Thanksgiving, we invited about thirty relatives to the farm. We had a lot of children here. I guess all of us were children that day. It was grand. We made a bon fire to sit around and work on. It's amazing how many men it takes to keep an open fire burning correctly. Some of us watched Nebraska unexpectedly beat Colorado on TV. I asked one of the children late in the day what he had done. He said he rode a horse, shot a bow and arrow, shot a shotgun at blue rock, shot a pistol at a Lincoln NE telephone book, ate 2 hotdogs and 3 s'mores. He was worn out and I'm guessing the smile is still on his face. If I had known they were having that kind of fun outside, I should have stayed out there.
The picture, you ask? Well it took about 40 hotdogs and so we loaded the contraption in the picture up with 20 dogs twice and then we all stood and gave cooking tips to the one who was doing the actual holding of the dogs.
The picture is of "The Kill". The men you will recognize as having links on my blog. On the left is Dan. (my son) Next is Marty. Marty is my nephew and Blog Father. Marty started all of this cursed blogging in the Morrow Clan. Next is me, Cliff. The good looking one on the right, Ralph, is not actually a blood Morrow but was recently adopted by the family for being a friend to humanity, and darned handy to have around. That's the story we've told him anyway. Really we wanted his lovely wife in the family and thought about how embarrassing this would end up being if we didn't include him.
So this is a special edition of blogs. Please drop by the others and see if their version of the same picture is better than mine.

Hey Folks! I've just read the other three bloggers 'take' on this picture. Don't miss any of them. They're all linked in the blog and on the side of my blog.

I saw the picture on Marty's blog first. He had said to give it a caption, so I couldn't think of one caption so I had to make up a short story! I hope you read the comment! I had to think long and hard to come up with that! (a LOT of work on my part with all that thinking going on) :) I think it put a strain on my brain.

You have a fine family and I didn't know until today that Ralph was an adopted guy!

God has blessed you with such a fine and loving family, and even the adopted ones that are like family! It sounds like such a good time was had by all. Dan described all the things we didn't see in the picture and made me visualize it even better!

Somehow I think there's more to this photo that initially greets my green eyes. I bet you 4 are up to something! Enjoyed seeing the Morrow men hanging out together. Gr8 adoption choice, but I'm biased. I read him before finding you all. :)

Paul...you may have.

Yes Rachel, I did read your story. Way too much effort. Yes we are blessed with our family and having the Campbells come.
I should tell you of the kind of friends the Campbells are. They came to Nebraska 3 days before Dan's wedding to help. And help they did. Non stop. We later learned that they had never received an invitation to the wedding. (some kind of a list problem) We asked why they had come to help. "Oh, we knew you meant to invite us and beside you needed help". We did and we did.

Funny you should say that Christina. We do occasionally invite the 'whole fam damily'.
You're invited. Bring a snow shovel, I know you've got one.
Peter put on your reading glasses.
just a Mom: are you sure.
Jerry; All we're missing are the cattle.

If it ever comes down to having to make a choice between Char and I - I would pick her too. You and Marilyn have the only house (besides my own) I can walk into and truly say I feel at home. Thanks for another great time.
Ralph
