Wildfire!

We've been very busy as of late. One of our projects has been the demolition and burying, and burning of our old barn. The fire was started with a single match. It burned with fury, and couldn't have been controlled even if we had tried. The destruction that little match caused was irreversible.
Kind of like a rumor.
Also like a news article written with just some of the facts.

Hope all went well.

That really does have to look different now. On a positive note, it'll give me more room to turn the tractor and corn trailer around.

Fire is scary stuff and so quick to spread. I was never scared of fire until we moved here. It can cause so much damage.

Your right it is irreversable and people don't think when they throw their cig butts out the window.

Thats when there is a rumour.

Too bad the old barn had to go. But sounds like it'll be an advantage to Ralph when he comes to visit and help out!!

Interesting and intriguing. We had a fire over in Pancake Flats this weekend. At least yours was planned.

Neat photos.

That's awful - I'm sorry to hear about the barn. And as equally saddened by the rumors and those "talking points" articles you spoke of, too. That was a great point my friend. Pass the kool-aid ...... ha, ha, ha, ha. :)

Cliff,
Those old buildings go up quick, don't they? Dad will be sad that he missed buring one down.

Cliff, I'll bet you will miss that old barn a little yourself.

They always look so full of stories when we pass them on the road. Some I just wait for them to fall in.

Is there a particular news article you have in mind?

Hope your project went well. I was relieved this was planned and not a disaster. One of my very old posts "A Fire You Can't Put Out" is about a home two doors down from me that caught on fire requiring scores of ER vehicles. Luckily, no one was hurt. The firefrighters even rescued the pets. (P.S. I finally posted something new.)

firefighters not "firefrighters"- what a typo....

I like old barns. They look so neat. I guess yours must have gotten beyond neat. Cool photos... I guess technically that first one is a hot photo.

Those news reports you are referring to are the norm.

It's a shame about the barn. I love to see old barns -

But things do change, don't they?

I am glad the fire was planned. I have quite a few fire stories myself..

I hope you enjoy your new view!

Have a great day!
