We attended a wedding in central Nebraska over the weekend. Part of our duties were to help watch this Grandchild during the reception. This is an older pic of her sleeping with her Dad.
She fell asleep in her little flower girl dress on the way from the Church to the reception. Just a four block journey. When Marilyn approached the sleeping child she said, "Ahhh, she's asleep already, she must be very tired." To which her Dad calmly replied, "Well of course she's tired, it takes a lot of energy to run her attitude."
I must appologize to regular readers of this blog. I've been really busy trying to keep corn watered and also with meetings and stuff to do relative to getting ready to leave the farm for a while. I will return with renewed vigor to this blog about the 27th. I will be gathering enough personal experiences to keep blogging for a while. I also hope to be able to give you a date for Blogstock '08. Don't give up on me.
Stay safe my friends.

We are getting our first significant rain of the summer; slow and steady. Have fun at the family reunion and the wedding. Say hello to the Morrows and Campbells for me.

Drive carefully. Our preacher thinks it is a sin to drive over the speed limit, even one mph.
Shucks, I thought I was perfect.
Lois' (my sister's) granddaughter is getting married June 6 next year. I doubt that will be the date you pick, but it might be just my luck. We had one close to here, Jerry came. But still, our luck said we couldn't come.

Ditto Jerry. That's a classic observation about the energy/attitude ratio! Cute picture, too! :)

Give up on you???
R U kidding????!!!!
Blog breaks are a necessary part of life because life gets too busy sometimes.
I'll be taking a break myself soon. I have a trip to CA, then another trip after that driving through Alabama and Tennessee.
Various breaks just give us more stuff to write about.
Keep your camera handy just in case Elvis stops by whilst your watering corn or chairing a meeting.

Terrific photo!! All little girls should have loving daddies. I have one; my daughter has one. We are blessed.

The attitude comment is priceless. I guess that's why children can sometimes fall asleep so quickly.

I hope you had fun.

Well Cliff, have you checked the Guiness book lately?
You may be nearing a world record for wedding attendances.
For sure you are getting to be an expert on them.

Oh what a sweet picture! Your son sounds like he is a chip off the old block. A natural comedian like his Dad.

Hope all is well with you and yours.
