High Level Meeting OR Your Blogstock Hosts!

A high level meeting (one mile high to be exact) of the Blogstock '08 planning committee took place recently in Denver. Here is another picture of Ralph having more fun than everybody else. Char (center) is his lovely wife. Marilyn and I are the two on the outside. Many ideas for Blogstock were thrown around but as per normal the women vetoed all of the really good ones.
At least Ralph and I assumed that the words, "over my dead body" were to be taken as a veto.

We left Denver with peace and harmony prevailing.
We have a long running series of these pictures. We always take them on Ralph and Char's front porch just before I utter the words that show I'm a farmer. "Get in the truck woman."
Then I say those other words I'm famous for. "Just kidding Dear.... shall we go now?"

A picture of the establishment up against the wall? Doesn't bode well...

I think you four should run for the Senate, while all the candidates are running around the country. We could use some common sense in Washington.

I'm expecting really big things at Blogstock '08. Actually I'd settle for a big Morrow Kennels cup full of iced tea. I'm easy.

I have no fear, Blogstock '08 is in good hands. Eight of them at least.
..
BTW, I don't see any lemons for the tea?
..
Oh yes, is there a golf tournament in the works? Or an organized play day? Sign us up if there is.

I love these pictures. It's really nice to "meet" the people we have come to love. Looks like Blogstock will be a smashing success. Wish I could join you.

You went all the way to Denver for a meeting? Wow! Sorry I put your wife's name down wrong on the last post. I said Bev instead of Marilyn....oops!

What is it with you farmers and the phase "woman"? My husband likes to do the same thing, just to get me riled up. Check out my pics of the hail storm we had here.

Cliff ~ Wait a second here... isn't that Marilyn being hugged by Ralph and you're hugging Char? I had not yet heard that "What Happens in Denver... stays in Denver"! But then... I don't get out much!
P.S. ~ I really do know that there is no "monkey business" going on here, but I just wanted you to know that I noticed! ~ jb///

Nice pics, Cliff.

Who's Bev? Marilyn wants to know, too.

I'm really looking forward to Blogstock. Give me a job to do if you want. I'll squeeze it in somewhere.

It's so good seeing all you folks making all the final plans!

I sure wish we were able to get in on the fun of this blog stock event! :(

Anyway-I know it will be fun for all who are able to get there and I'll be looking forward to all the pictures!

I noticed a change here too! Do I have a new mom? Or maybe a new dad?

Cliff
I came across one of those pictures taken on the porch a few nights back. It was taken several years ago, you had a beard and I had hair.

What you people don't understand is this is the longstanding order for this particular event. (bottom picture) It is a tradition!

"get in the truck woman." Bwahahahahaa .... was it a long quiet ride home?

What are you doing in Denver? Shouldn't you be planting corn?

"I see that hand," the preacher said.

Thansk be to God for the veto power of women!!!!

I look forward to meeting everyone and just sitting and talking and eating (of course) and laughing. No big expectations here, just looking forward to a nice gathering of fellow blog buddies and silly folks.

Sometimes men talk tough to overcompensate for trouble at home.
Are you an abused spouse, Cliff?
I can refer you to a home for battered men.

Great photos and it sounds like you all had a wonderful planning session. I too, would like to hear more about Blogstock so how about a post explaining it or directions to more information.

So does your wife call you "The Mister" or is that a Minnesota thing. That's where I first heard it when a farmer's wife referred to her husband. I loved it!
