Phffft!

This was the day I planned to finish planting corn. The heaviest ground I farm was just about dry enough to plant and I was going to force it a bit. But alas it is raining on this fine Saturday morning. It is supposed to rain all day. A 100% chance all day as a matter of fact. Fifty eight degrees for a high temperature with a high wind warning later today.
This day seems to be making the same sound as the hose attached to our central vac system.
Have a lovely weekend.
I'll be around to visit in the next couple of days. There will be a white glove test so be sure to clean above the windows.

Hope it drys out and warms up so you can get that planting done. It's wind and cold here with 80% chance of rain. Of course, it was nice all week when I had to be inside.

Sorry Cliff you didn't get finished. I was just reading about Jenna Bush getting married on the ranch in TX and it said the corn was thigh high there. Gee whiz. They must start early!

I best get busy. I can't pass the white glove test, but, just so you know, you have been missed on here.

Mrs. Jim cleans windows. I vacuum.
The painters clean above the windows (then that could be me).

It's been raining here too.

Never mind the white glove test. Just put up your feet and sit a-spell.

Hi Cliff! I always check the temperature thing on your sidebar. I don't think I have ever seen such a difference from one day to the next. There have been days when it is warmer then here and days colder. Like today. 38 degrees. Burr. I'm wishing for nice warmer sunny weather for you. Lisa

I hope it starts warming up soon. It got to 92 degrees down here yesterday. We went from a nice cool spring to summer in just a couple of days.

I hope you get that corn in soon, Cliff. Happy Mothers day to Bev.

Too wet to plant.
Too windy to haul rocks.
Can't dance.
Can't sing.
Might as well vacuum.

I hate it that it is raining, but it will give you plenty of time to pamper Marilyn.
Buckets of rain here also. Uggh.

Cliff,
I talked to Ole Blue a couple of nights ago and he said that you had been getting a ton of rain. We would gladly take some of it for you. We had snow on Sunday. Can you run a planter in snow?

Hopefully you will be able to finish planting soon. What is the last day y'all can plant and still be covered by your crop insurance? We are planting soybeans now, and making butt-loads of hay, lol.

Rainy here yesterday...and windy. Corn is starting to pop up here though. We're about a week to ten days ahead of you.

Keeping fingers crossed for you, Cliff.

Well, poo!
I hope things dry out soon so you can finish planting all those corns.
We get rain regularly here, so corn planting would be dicey. Of course, it would also be tough to plant corn on hills that are covered by trees.
We'll stick to moonshine production and you stick to corn.

It looks as if my parents. brother, and my family will all be at Blogstock on July 5th. We are going on a vacation to visit my great aunt, then visit my hubby's family in MO, and we are making a day at your farm a part of our trip. We will stay at a nearby motel on Friday evening and show up ready to cause mischief. Please let us attenders know what the fees are to attend this event and also what we are required to bring. I like to be fully prepared; I am a planner. I will check the Blogstock blog for further instructions.

Cliff ~ Hey bud... I hope this attitude did not roll over to Marliyn's Mother's Day or there'll be trouble in river city by today I'm sure! Not being able to plant will be the least of YOUR worries!~ jb///
