for this farm is now history. I had a meeting late this afternoon and so two of my brothers finished it up in my absence. The results for the entire harvest haven't been tabulated yet but the words 'pretty darned average yields' will doubtless be used somewhere in the final description.
I talked with Ralph a bit ago. We began talking politics as we are want to do on occasion and I told him I thought that this election was like trying to decide which you would rather have. Your stomach pumped or an enema. He replied, "That's right Cliff, either way we get hosed and it's going to end up hurting a lot."
Our country needed a President who could grade in the 95 to 100 percentile in leadership and we will end up with a 30 to 40 percenter either way. Hurry up 2012!

Amen and amen about the election. The only thing to look forward to, is NC and Virginia are swing vote states this year.
Our soybeans are just starting to turn, still harvesting corn here. It just KEEPS ON RAINING!!! And the market prices keep on falling.

Well, on the positive side - the beans are done. This year there are a lot of hard decisions on the election ballot - at least here.

Soybeans here are just starting to change color... a winter harvest...
They are burning the tomatoes - gosh I hate to smell that... burned plastic, burned plants...

Hi Cliff, I hope 2012 isn't too late! I've been saying all along that neither candidate or the dead duck incumbent seemed to worry a bit about our economy.
I have no suggestions for 2012 either, Palin might get a chance to prove herself. McCain will want to run again.

My solution is to 'nationalize' all foreign investments and debt like Venzuela did. At the this time we don't own much more than 50% of our country, maybe not even half.

Beans and the election, I like the symmetry. I fear we are in a tail spin and too busy pointing fingers to realize "we" are reaping what "we" sowed. Time for an altitude check.

It's pitiful what we have running in this election. Just pitiful. How come they have 50 people that run for Miss America and only 2 for president? I think we need something better to pick from!

im scared by the time 2012 gets here, it might be way 2 late..
but i think i would rather have a tooth pulled then an enema or my stomach pumped, but if i got my stomach pumped, i might loss a couple pounds..

I know what you mean about the election, we call it "the lesser of two evils." I just wish that there would be a strong commanding leader for us. I will be watching "our" debate, here on Long Island. My hubby will be taking the long way home tonite, his regular route is subject to closure and most of it will be as he goes right by Hofstra University, in a commercial vehicle. Glad to hear that your harvest is done, here's hoping for BETTER than average yeild!
The McPalin ticket has my vote, but boy oh boy, Fred Thompson or Huckabee sound really good about now.
