A View From The Back Porch

Marilyn snapped these two pics a couple of days ago. The fall flowers have taken over her berms. Below is a close-up of the Aster. It is usually full of butterfly's and honey bees. It's a fairly high resolution picture so if you look closely you can see all of the bees at work.
In the background of the above picture you can see the corner of one of the horse barns, the blue tarp protecting bales of hay and the corn that is nearly ready for harvest.
I suppose I should try to get a couple of shots of harvest. We're about 1/2 done harvesting the soybeans.

What a beautiful spot you live in Cliff, and Marilyn sure has a green thumb.

Wow, Cliff! I love seeing these types of pictures. Be sure to share the harvest pictures - I'm anxious to see them, too.

Cliff,
I hear that we are about 1/3 of the way done with the soybeans. I'm in Tulsa working this week and heading back to the farm tonight.

Great pics of Maryilyn's flowers.

Love the flowers!! So pretty! Nice view you have of those glorious beauties.

If I came to your house and disappeared then you might want to start looking for me at the horse barn! :) (Who am I kidding, you'd probably just be glad I was gone!).

Rachel, they have horses. Bring a clothespin or two.
Cliff, I counted 3,682 bees. Have you tried counting?
Are you sure Marilyn didn't sneak off to Louisiana to take those pretty Aster flower pictures?
We call those Blue Daisies, others say Michaelmas Daisies.
Daisies are Mrs. Jim's favorite.
The harvesting will keep you busy for a while, that corn behind is looking good.
Your crops are good where you can irrigate (I'm glad for you). Ours in the hills won't hardly pay the diesel bill to harvest. Drat the drougth!

Beautiful flowers! Marilyn sure has the gift.

By the way, I am glad to hear that the corn is harvest-ready. Since your post about the difficult weather for pollination I have been very concerned about that corn. But then I realized that you would certainly never be without an ample supply of corn! yuk, yuk. :o)
