Fit TV

We get our tv from satelite. We have a lot of channels. I know we usually don't watch anything but the 4 major networks, but with DirecTv we could watch something else. (Maybe someday) And besides what would I do with that $50 bucks a month but waste it on a silly retirement fund.
Well here's my complaint about satelite tv. I found the Fit Channel. Men, but mostly women, dressed for the beach who are stretching and pumping iron and jumping and running and bending over and generally carrying on in all kinds of movements and contortions. You must be tall, slender, and beautiful to be on fit tv. I've been watching it for some time now. I still weigh the same as I did a month ago. It doesn't work. But I've decided to keep up with the regimen. I think my cardiovascular system is benefiting.
Okay, I'm just kidding. I really am trying. Just today I ordered a new and heavier remote for my television.

Hi Cliff -- By all means keep on watching. That might even be an incentive for me to get a satelite! I need to lose some pounds also. Are you sure it is going to work?

Maybe you should keep a blow dryer next to the chair, so you can feel the burn as well.

My three year old *loves* Fit TV; we couldn't figure out who this Gil Janklovitz character was he kept chattering about (you can only imagine how such a little guy pronounces that name)...then we realized he watches the channel with his gramma.

I'm sure he'd be happy to lend a few pointers, if you ever need it.

We've got DirecTV too.

My daughter recorded some Yoga off the FIT channel, and she convinced me to give it a try with her. I felt like an uncoordinated human pretzel, and the women on the TV were like members of Cirque de Soliel.

Marilyn would probably like the Hallmark channel (312). I love the movies they do, and I often set them to record.

Also, I record the Glenn Beck show on Headline News, channel 204 I think. His show is really good. My hubby and I love his political point of view and his humor.

Kudos to you, Cliff, for branching out and leaving the comfort zone of the major networks.

Don't overdo the FIT TV thing. Break yourself in slowly so you don't pull a muscle.

Cliff,
I sure hope you stretched before watching the Fit Channel. We don't need both you and Marilyn laid up at the same time.

Loved Dan's remark!! HAHA. He is a chip off the old block isn't he!!

I loved Fit TV but then they took it off our cable.

One thing Cliff. You are supposed to actually DO the exercises and not just watch! That's how it works. Trust me on this.

I watch the Family Channel, Hallmark, educational TV (Great programs on there), Lifetime, and HGTV.

Which one is the 24 Hour ice cream channel?

There you go again Cliff, wasting your retirement fund funds, I just attached a piece of wood to my remote with a couple of rubber bands, this has the added advantage of allowing easy adjustment of the remotes weight.
BTW this is not working either!!!!!

If your cardiovascular system is improving that is benefit enough. Those things take time. Additionally if you lay down the snacks and adult beverage and get out of the recliner it might help a LITTLE. Just take small steps and don't over do. Put the snacks down this week, skip the adult beverage next week, and then slowly oh so slowly work on getting out of the recliner. Or not.

Hahahahaha....I'm always intrigued as well with the incredible fit, beautifully-bodied people in the get-fit programmes on television.

I vote for the heavier remote-control, as well...perhaps two, to replace dumb-bells.

I think you'd be great doing voice overs for one of Pixar's great movies. They'd probably give you a loose rein and a free hand.

(By the way, do you know how I'm going to lose a lot of weight? I'm planning to walk across America in 2010 and 2011. Wanna go?)

Paul: I'll get back to you on that. No, I'll have my people call your people.
Jerry: Tell her to not be so lazy and walk up to the TV.

Cliff, I do not get fit tv. Thank goodness, I might have a problem with it, I mean who can watch all of those "hardbodies" and not work up a sweat. Personally, the men are nice to look at,and you say ther aren't too many of them? Well, then that channel is def not for me, definately, definately.....she mutters to herself, cursing that the remote isn't working on her tv, that she actually has to go to the set and change the channel, rather than replace the batteries....where are those darn things, this is getting ridiculous!

Miki: I think the men are there just as much as the women, but I've just never noticed them.
