MEMORIAL DAY IN BURT COUNTY

(click on photos to enlarge) A community pauses to pay respect to those whom we owe our Freedom. This is a War Memorial in front of, and to the south of the Burt County Courthouse in Tekamah, NE.

It is events like that truly make me love Tekamah. It might be a small town but you people do things right. You do them with dignity and class with some fun thrown in at the appropriate moment. Nicely done, thanks for posting the photos.

Wonderful Cliff. They are beautiful pictures and everything looks well tended and cared for. There's just something about seeing all those flags.

Midwestern, smaller communities have a lot of class that the rest of the country could learn from. I guess in smaller communities in general where people really know each other, they appreciate what is truly important in life.
