The 4th of July Parade

"Daddy, why are those people throwing all of this candy at me?"
We had a lot of family come to our little town for Independence day. Here, Little Miss Independence is seeking some courage from Dad after having been frightened by one of the parade floats. 'Dad' is our oldest boy. Missy is one of our Grandaughters.
We hosted a surprise, family bridal shower for my youngest and his Bride to be. I'll post some pics of the day as time will allow.

We had a great time even though we ate way too much! Thanks for your hospitality. It's always good to be with family and it was especially fun to be there for the parade....nothing like a small town 4th!...Okie Sis

Cliff
Sorry we had to miss the parade and shower. We had company the week before and were just exhausted. Actually, that's a lie. We had company and they were a lot of fun. I had to catch up from all my playing during the week. Actually, that's a lie too. I had a tee time on the fourth.
Great picture but what float scared her?

I look forward to seeing more photos.
I'm glad your family enjoyed a fun Fourth of July holiday.
We did too! We shot off fireworks out over the water, and we really enjoyed having fireworks that are illegal in CA. Roman Candles are a blast!!! Here in AR, almost nothing is illegal.

Glad you had a good 4th Cliff and got to spend time with family! The shower sounds great and I'm sure they were grateful and got some nice things.

Looking forward to more pictures.

CLiff,

This is Curtis, Jennifer and the kids....Beverly (the better 1/2 of your buddy sugarfoot)sent your blog link to us. We just got done reading up on your posts. I say you should sell the farm, quit the county supervisers and hit the road as a comedian! You appear to have the tallent to be main act, the support crew and according to Marilyn the truck driver! If you need body work done on your truck, I think that would be covered as well. Anywho, good job on the blogs, very enjoyable. Can't wait for the next one. Glad you are all doing well! Best Wishes!

Cliff, you are a nice father! I know the kids all really appreciate your good deeds.
Karen didn't like the fire engines, loud cars, or the clowns. They grow out of it (I think).

Cliff,
Sounds like you got a farm full of Morrows. What could be better? Say hi to all the visitors and the locals too from me.

Have fun!

what a sweet picture! Its funny what can seem overwhelming when one is that small. Although even at my age, I'm not sure I'd want people throwing candy AT me... Its all fun and games until someone loses an eye...
