Thanks Cliff. You are right. It was well worth the read! Lovely memories John has of his Christmas and family. Very touching, especially the last one.
Thanks, Cliff and Rachel, for your kind words. I'm never quite sure how interesting stories about my family will be to others. Part 4, on this year, should be posted in a couple of days once all the Christmas gatherings have happened.
And Cliff, I'm with you on the going south thing. I'd be more tempted to go north and see some more snow in winter.
