Please let Marilyn know that I was forced (due to urgent bladder overload) to use a Japanese Squat toilet. It was quite a feat. Once I got in postion, I was fearful that I would never be able to get up again. If you ever visit Japan, you will find western style toilets too, but sometimes you won't have the choice. Be prepared! Six weeks prior to departure, begin doing squats at home. You'll be thankful you did. My legs started shaking and I about fell over when I tried to stand up again. Sadly out of shape!!
