Visitor From The East!

This summer, fellow blogger Jerry (on left) stopped for a visit and to meet us. We had lunch and did a lot of visiting. It's strange how growing up on a farm seems to put one in a fraternity of sorts. Here, I'm passing the time honored, ceremonial 'cornknife' to our visitor from the east. It signifies interstate friendship between farmers.... Okay,, we made the cornknife thing up, but it sounded good at the time. Thanks for the visit Jerry.
If you haven't been reading Jerry, give it a try. He does a wide variety of topics. Good Stuff!!

Glad you had a good visit! I'm sure he was pleased with the "honored ceremonial cornknife"!I have one that looks like that except it's a tobacco knife. Is that the same thing, but used for a different purpose? Great picture!

Well Cliff, the pleasure was all mine. I had such a memorable visit out to the Morrow homestead. There's something about that kitchen table that sets the stage for great story telling. I could've sat there all day and just listened.

There is a kind of a fraternity among farm kids, isn't there? We've certainly been through the hazing. Makes for great stories though, don't it?

Thanks for the hospitality all you Morrows. And for Marilyn's delicious cooking too. Y'all are the best!

P.S. Did you Photoshop edit that picture? My head can't possibly be that big!

I brightened the exposure a bit, but that was all. Thanks for reading.

Cliff, that was my lame attempt at humor. The picture is fine. Sadly, my melon head IS really that big.

Oh, and thanks for the nice words about my blog. But your blog is the "must read" in Blog Land. You really need to get your brothers to start blogging. Marty tells me they can tell a good tale too.

You both look like you're taking that ceremony seriously.
I'm glad a good time was had by all.
