Yum! One of my favorites is New England Clam Chowder, too. Looks good, Cliff.
I really do like oyster stew. Yours looks yummy.
Yes, thanks to all the above.
..
Looks good!
Yummy!! I'd like to have a bowl of that right now! That sweet corn sounds good too.
Cliff,
That really looks good. Much better than the Jack in the Box tacos I just had.
Hey Cliff, we were at the in laws last night for dinner, I brought home the turkey carcas, making turkey soup at some point today, what kind of crackers do you really really like???????? No potatoes in my soup, except clam chowder, we do a lot of noodles or just plain with veggies! When we were in the "city" there was a place to buy soup, only soup, called: HALE AND HEARTY. They had about 12 different varieties of soup a day, along with 4 or 5 "regular" soups every day. I walked down the city block, and marched into the CHELSEA MARKET and bought us soup for lunch, two days in a row! A tad on the expensive side, but really good. Worth the price! I am a soup person.
UUUUUGGGGHHHH!
More food for our hungry eyes? Honestly, Cliff, I think that your blog should come with a disclaimer reading something to the effect of "this site may cause you to wander to the kitchen and binge".
I enjoyed every bite of it!!...Okie Sis
I'm not a big fan of oysters, but I'm willing to give it a try. This looks absolutely wonderful. I'll bring the crackers and the cheese.
Looks yummy, Cliff! Are you gonna share the recipe? I love oyster stew, but I have never had it with corn. That would make it even more yummy, I think.
The cook at the church rectory makes clam chowder with potatoes, bits of shrimp, lobster, potato, onion... it is very good too... he kind of just throws things in the pot and it comes out gourmet! Your oyster stew sounds and looks like that!
oh wow...i am drooling cliff, and that aint good..
I think I could handle it since they're not RAW oysters!
It's GOT to be better than those hard, salted, eraser-tasting things that for some unknown reason they're still canning!
Maybe stewing them is the secret to actually getting flavor out of 'em...I dunno.
Bet it'd taste good with Peppridge Farm Goldfish crumpled up in a bowl-ful!
