This view from the porch was taken by Marilyn as I headed up the lane with the combine. I'd been down to the shop to fix a breakdown. You'll notice the corn has turned brown but the trees in the background are still green.

That is alot of corn. Enjoy your time out in the field, don't get too lost in your thinking. God I wish that was me right now.

Hi Cliff: Enjoyed the pic. Fall, my favorite season, always makes me nostalgic about the farm! Sorry to read about the fire, but glad it turned out as well as it did. It reminded me of when the folk's house burned many years ago. It was back in the days of telephone operators and "number please". When Mom called to report the fire, the operator on duty, Wanda Welch (one of my operator buddies),called all of the neighbors to come and help get things out of the house. If it hadn't been for Wanda and the neighbors, much more would have been lost in the blaze. Yes...small towns are the best!

By the way, we just enjoyed a nice visit with Jerry...small world! Okie Sis

Say you might have Marilyn check out that Jon guys and his dog food site!
You might not think so but from here - that looks like a lot of work and a lot of fun.
Started the corn yet?

Christina, about the moving in deal. Sounds good but I'd better clear it with Marilyn. No pets (especially rabbits). you know,,,,dogs.
