Last night (saturday) we had about 5 inches of very light fluffy snow. We went to church this morning and to a small group meeting tonight. As we plowed thru the snow on the way home tonight, it was 5 degrees and a bright, snowy evening. A lot of thoughts were running through my mind when the radio station went to an advertisement. The man started with two urgent questions in a big manly voice.
"Men, do you sleep through the night?" He continued, "Do you wake up to urinate?"
I answered aloud, "I've been able to accomplish that so far, and I hope to continue doing so as long as I can."
We'd been on the road about 15 minutes so my answers awoke Marilyn. It did seem rude to say, "never mind it wasn't important." But I said it anyway. It's not easy being me.

Did she think you were being rude? If not she is probably just used to you talking to yourself or to the radio!
Waking up to urinate is a very good thing.
Not waking up is a sign of old age or extremely deep sleep. Either thing, it's not good to not wake up.
oooh I pop off out loud often when no one is listening or awake. But mine are so used to it, it doesn't wake them up. Unless they're the one driving.
Uhh was that the question or...?
I can't imagine you being rude Cliff, especially to Marilyn... especially twice!!!
I say "What?" Ron says rather curtly "I was talking to myself." Now I'm betting he's talking to the radio or TV and I finally know the truth. Oh, and I must agree with J.D.'a comment.
I'm still stuck on the five inches of snow.... we don't go anywhere in two inches, lol.
I'm glad you've been able to accomplish that so far, Cliff.
A recent high level security/background check uncovered that fact, by one critic, that I c*** in my pants. I explained that it was only for a couple of years. However, that fact that I "did at one time" soiled and remains on my record.
If you were being really romantic you'd "write" Marilyn's name in the snow.
What? No "Snow Angels?" If we got 5" here in Houston, Stormy my wife would have made at least two and then hoarded some snow in the freezer. (Might need it with all of this global warming)
We had snow for the first time in many years last month. It accounted for the 0.05" snow accumulation for the year (Umm, decade). Whoopie! We still had multiple accidents with folks gawking at the spectacle.
As far as getting up during the night to pee, if you are taking a diuretic like HCTZ, you will...you have to!
Hope you and yours have a fantastic 2009, Cliff.

I really like waking up before I urinate. I don't know why maybe it's because it makes me feel all grown up.
Your last sentence is so very, very true.
Ralph
I'm with Marc there.....We might actually get some frozen percipitation tomorrow night...It's going to get down to 36 degrees, so it won't be sticking to the ground. 5" inches, wow that would be something down here.....lol.
I always wake up before I pee....I may have to run for the toilet but I do make it there.
Five inches of snow. We haven't had that much all year here. Tonight we might get ice but it can't last long since it's supposed to get to 40 tomorrow.
Waking up before urinating is a definite plus!! I expect you'll be sleeping in the spare bedroom when you do start urinating before waking up!
We're getting our snow from that storm tonight/tomorrow. I'm ready for spring.
Tuesday morning: I just woke up to pee. Then I decided to read blogs a little. I'm awake for that, too. Temp right now is 13; with a Global Warm up predicted all the way up to 17 today.
